Teacher Training
The Nia Belt system is designed after the martial arts. For people on the Professional Path, completing the White Belt Intensive Training gives Graduates permission to teach and represent Nia as a White Belt Apprentice Teacher. Teaching classes as an Apprentice Teacher is one part of the Continuing Education process and required Pre-Training for moving onto Green Belt.
The Green Belt Intensive Training, the second Belt on the Professional Path, focuses on teaching skills. It is designed to improve and refine the embodiment and delivery of Nia, preparing Teachers for the classroom and assuring the highest possible level of personal and professional success. Green Belt Graduates achieve industry Certification and the title of Certified Green Belt Nia Teacher.
Once this professional level has been reached, Certified Nia Teachers may progress through the following Belt levels including Blue Belt, Brown Belt, Black Belt and finally, First Degree Black Belt.

For residents of Sacramento Valley and Surrounding Areas, quarterly White Belt Intensive Trainings are offered by France-Laude Gohard in partnership with SacNia teachers and studios.
FRANCE-LAUDE GOHARD is SacNia’s collaborative teacher-trainer for the Nia Technique in the Sacramento Valley.
France-Laude, originally from Paris, France has an extensive background as a professional dancer. She is one of the original apprentices of Nia Founders Carlos Rosas and Debbie Rosas.
